Everyone loves guacamole, but did you know that the avocado is ranked as the world’s healthiest fruit by the Guinness Book of World Records? Write to Know learned about these glorious green globes when working on the Avocados from Mexico PR campaign with Faye Clack Communications. The trip back to the classroom for 25 Home Depot associates was an innovative idea developed by Sheridan College and Home Depot. As project manager for the Interior Planning Initiative, Write to Know organized the classroom space, recruited instructors, developed an interactive portal, wrote communications materials and facilitated a smooth experience for the Sheridan instructors and the associates.
The energy and commitment of employees on the frontlines is at the heart of Direct Energy Home Service’s Intranet site. Working inside the company, Write to Know designed and developed the site to include personal stories about employees, photos, useful information, messages from leadership and feedback from employees. The Danforth Village Business Improvement Area (DVBIA) has been working with Write to Know to market the natural vitality of the neighbourhood and help businesses attract people from all over Toronto. With one in five mothers experiencing a postpartum mood disorder during pregnancy or after giving birth, the PMD Program in Peel worked with Write to Know to develop a user-friendly, attractive website. The site assists service providers in learning how to recognize, support and refer women who present with the symptoms of PMD. Read more >>

Talking to youth and making sure they’re involved in their community is the goal of the Peel Youth Violence Prevention Network. Write to Know has helped the Network boost its public profile by writing a community report, press releases and documenting its participation in The Roots of Youth Violence consultation and report. A group of teenagers from Toronto’s west end got a valuable lesson in entrepreneurship during four days of business training provided by the Salesforce.com Foundation. Write to Know spoke to the students about the importance of marketing and wrote an article about the students’ week of working together to create something remarkable. Read more >>
A merger of two companies at Honeywell Canada had created anxiety and uncertainty. While working in employee communications, Write to Know revived a quarterly magazine and created employee committees to share information across the country. Performance magazine won an IABC Award of Merit and was the impetus for the creation of an employee annual report. Read more >>
The County Cider Company produces hard apple cider crafted from apples grown on the family farm in picturesque Prince Edward County. Write to Know oversaw cider tastings at LCBO stores, created attractive marketing materials and sold the cider into Toronto bars and restaurants. Buying activity has increased to the point where the LCBO now lists two of the company’s cider products. Read more >>
There are currently more than 3 million Canadians caring for someone with a life-threatening illness and those numbers are growing. Yet, there is still low public awareness of the hospice network across Canada. Write to Know helped the Ontario Hospice Association organize its annual conference, and wrote a bi-weekly newsletter and articles on hospice care for publication. Read full article>>
